Disclaimer: I wish I owned Covert Affairs but I do not. This is Fanfiction so it is kinda obvious.
A/N This is my first Covert Affairs story so please review, I never seem to get many. :) This is just a little bit of fun and is probably out of character.
Water Balloons
Jai was bored. Everyone important (aka Joan) had gone to some meeting about a top-secret mission that he didn't have clearance for. Everyone with clearance was too concerned with that (whatever 'that' was) to give everyone else any real work so everyone was stuck doing paperwork which meant newspapers. That was a job for rookies. Oh well, at least he wasn't alone. Everyone under Joan had similar jobs to do and to top it all off, it was hot. Really hot and the air-conditioning just had to be broken today. He had three options as to what to do next:
Number 1: Sit here and continue to do paperwork in the heat. Fun, not.
Number 2: Go and find out what was so important and why everyone wasn't read in. Nah, He would probably get fired for that.
Number 3: Find a way to get cool. Hmm, that sounded like a good idea, but how? Then it hit him, water balloons! He had seen some lying around Annie's desk. Why she had them was beyond him but it didn't matter. He was hot and by the looks of it so was everyone else. A water balloon fight would cool everyone down and besides, it's not like Joan was around. Neither was Annie which made stealing the balloons so much easier. She was probably in tech, talking to Auggie. Speaking of Auggie, he would make a good first target. Not because he was blind no, Jai would never do that, it was because he knew Auggie would retaliate and that's what he needed to start the fight. The fact that he didn't particularly like Auggie was an added bonus. He was getting ahead of himself. The balloons had to be filled up first otherwise it would be pretty pointless.
After fifteen minutes and several popped water balloons he was finally ready. Now, how to get Auggie here? He sat down to think of a plan. However, after five minutes he was interrupted by Auggie asking if he had seen Annie. Wait a minute, Auggie! This must be his lucky day.
"No Auggie I haven't" He said calmly. After all, it was the truth.
"Oh, ok" Auggie replied and walked away.
Jai picked up a full balloon and called out;
"Hey Auggie"
Auggie turned around but didn't get to throw the balloon due to the fact that he was hit by a tidal wave. No wait, fresh water. Lots and lots of fresh water (at least he hoped that it was fresh.) Then he heard laughing. He looked up to find Annie standing on the walkway above him, holding a bucket while laughing at him. It wasn't just her, everyone was laughing at him. He looked back and realised that Stu was standing next to Auggie, holding a video camera. Well that was just great. Then it hit him (thankfully not like the water had.)He had been set up.
"You set me up" he said looking At Annie then turning to look at Stu and Auggie.
"April Fools" They all yelled and ran away. He wondered why. Today couldn't get any worse.
Then Joan walked in...
