"Harry?"

He glanced up. Ginny.

"What are you doing up here? I thought you were supposed to be in the Great Hall with everyone else," Ginny said, walking into the boy's dormitory, which was now dusty and mostly a wreck from many months of abandonment. She sat next to him on his old bed, leaning against his shoulder. He didn't stir except to lower his head again, staring at his blood-soaked hands and worn sneakers. "Com'on," she muttered, nudging him lightly. "Talk to me. I've missed you."

At this, he sighed and turned to face her. He didn't give her a chance to speak further before he pulled her into his arms and buried his face in her hair. "Oh, Harry," she said quietly, wrapping her arms around his waist.

"I've missed you too, so much," he murmured into her read hair, clenching his fingers in her shirt. His voice cracked at the end of the sentence, but Ginny didn't mention it. She turned her head toward the door to hide the tears brewing in her eyes.
