I Will See You in the Next Video
Mark sniffled. "So, thank you everybody so much for watching, and as always… I will see you… in the next video. Buh- bye! Bye!" He laughed and faded off screen. I came out from the other room.
"Mark? Are you alright?" He looked up at me.
"Yeah, I just… I watched the six million subscriber video for my eight million special."
"Oh." I hugged him. "You'll be alright. You're too pro to stop trying, right?"
"Right, Celeste. How's your latest story coming along?"
I smiled down at him. "Wonderful. Natasha is totally screwed."
"Ha. So do you wanna play with the rifts or…"
"Yeah. Lets get scared out of our minds!"
"What do you wanna play?"
"Oculus Rift Among the Sleep! Standing up. That always scares the crap outta me!"
"Ok. Uh where are the... head thing-ys?"
"The head thing-ys are over… here!" I picked up the Oculus and gave one to Mark. He put it on his head and I copied him. "So, headphones. Plug in you, and put on you…." I narrated while I set mine up with my desktop.
(If you haven't figured out who Celeste is yet, it's me. I don't really do this sorta thing. Different name and stuff, of course.)
Mark looked over at me. "This'll be fun. I don't think we've play Rifts together for a while."
"A few weeks."
"Exactly! We really need to play together more often."
"Tell me about it. It's like we're always split up. You know what? Lets race! We've both played the game before, so lets see who can get out the door first!"
"Sounds good. I want my Warfstache, though." I held up the pink mustache.
"Thought you might." He took it from me, and put it over his rift. I laughed. I pulled down my rift, and started the game. Mark and I started at the same time, and got right into the game.
Later…
I screamed. "Mommy! … Ahh! Nope, nope, nope! I can't do it anymore!" I pulled off my headphones and flipped up the rift. Mark continued. "Aren't you the best boyfriend ever."
"What? Oh, you stopped." He flipped off the headphones and rift, and then moved over to me. He hugged me, and I looked at him. "Meh, I forgive you. I mean… ugh, i'm going to bed." I walked out of the room, and Mark followed after.
I fell asleep, and dreamt about Tiny box Tina fighting The Mother. It was fun. Mark and I had lots of fun playing games together but, of course, we had no intention of marrying. He would just have too many problems with his fan girls...
