"You'll kill yourself, you know."
He coughed, smoke rising up around him as Roxanne dropped into the seat next to him. He turned and blew the smoke into her face, causing her to rear back and wrinkle her nose. "I don't care," he said. He made to leave, uninterested in talking to his nosey sister.
"Fred, wait," she said. He paused by the doorway, not looking at her. "What happened to being the prankster with James and Louis? What happened to Dad's brave little lion who was destined for greatness?"
He snarled, spinning around. He was higher than a kite, as the muggles say, so he stumbled a bit, but quickly righted himself to point an accusing finger into her face. She went cross-eyed looking at it before she refocused on his face. "He grew up," he hissed lowly, voice shaking, "when he realized what fools he had for a so-called family."
"You're the fool," she hissed back, looking wounded. "And one day, once you've destroyed yourself, you'll realize that."
He snorted and stalked out of the room, slamming the door behind him. Roxanne sat back and wondered where her joyous little brother had gone, and when she had lost him.
