Changed.
When Darren Criss thought about it, his life had changed quite a bit in the past four years. Who would have thought that, after obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Performance from the University of Michigan, Darren would become one of Hollywood's biggest stars by starring in Glee? Certainly not himself.
If you asked Darren Criss what had changed in his personality, he would tell you that, really, he was the same as he was when he had left college. He was still goofy and good-tempered and always willing to help people in need and nice and sweet and that he still loved Harry Potter and Star Wars and Disney movies. Really, he was exactly the same. Celebrity hadn't changed him one bit. He was still down-to-earth and thankful for everything that was happening to him.
If you asked him what had changed in his sexuality, he would tell you that nothing had changed because he didn't like to label himself. He wasn't straight, but he wasn't gay or bi either. Pansexual was the only thing Darren agreed to label himself as.
If you asked him if his friendship with his old friends had changed, he would tell you that no. He'd tell you that their friendship was even stronger because everything that was happening to him was somehow because of them, too. He'd tell you that he still lived in a tiny apartment with Joey and that they still got drunk every other week-end, writing silly songs about talking willies while watching Glee or America's Next Top Model re-runs. He'd tell you that they still went to Disney World together and that they still took silly picture and they still laughed their asses off about something stupid Joe would say. He'd tell you that he still spent hours on Skype with Nick watching High School Musical, singing every song in two-parts harmonies. He'd tell you that his friends from college were the most important people in his life, right after his parents and brother. He'd tell you that StarKid was still the blood in his veins.
If you asked Darren if his feelings towards his co-star, Chris Colfer, had changed... then Darren would blush and answer that, no, of course no, his feelings towards Chris were totally platonic and their friendship was just really great and beautiful and organic. And he would look at Chris from afar and blush. He would also tell you that, of course he thought Chris was gorgeous because, 'hello are you blind? Chris is the most gorgeous man he's ever met.'
So yeah, Darren's life had changed since he had joined Glee. But he knew that, deep down, he was still some kid from San Francisco with a lot of luck.
