George sighed and leaned against a wall. He hadn't slept in a few days because of the case and he was feeling tired.
Elliot walked up to him.
"He's at central booking now and the victim will be ok. Let's go home." George nodded and leaned into Elliot's warm figure.
"You ok, doc?" Elliot asked him.
"Just tired. That was one of the roughest cases I've dealt with."
"Same here. Getting to say 'I love you' in public was pretty nice though." George smiled faintly.
"I wish we could tell the squad they should have been placing bets on us kissing, not you and Liv." Elliot laughed.
"That would be like kissing my sister. I don't want to even think about it." They stood next to the elevator and waited for the doors to open. Elliot kissed George gently.
"I really do love you, George." Elliot said against his lips.
They never noticed Detective Olivia Benson standing a few yards away, stunned look on her face.
"He wasn't just pretending when he said he loved George on the phone?"
Sighing, she walked to the squad room, wishing Elliot had told her but relieved that they were on the same page.
