After we had beaten that creepy gas guy, Maser Ceasar, we went on out of Punk Hazard. Everyone had cuts, and bruises. As the rest of the crew was celebrating the defeat of another bad guy and the raise of their bounties, I saw that Luffy wasn't with us, but I had a good guess at where he was. I walked to the front of the deck and found him sitting upon Lion-chan's head. I came up right beside him and noticed he must have been thinking pretty hard about something from the look on his face. "What's the matter Luffy?" I asked.
"I was just thinking about when that gas guy nearly choked me to death," he said. " I thought about the crew and my family back home. It reminded me of when Ace died. I had only the love for my nakama to keep me alive, yet this time, it was different. There was something else in there. Before it was love for my nakama…" Luffy paused abruptly and looked up at me.
"Now there's another love, a romantic love, a love for you."
My eyes widened and I could feel my body shaking from what he said. I was shocked, but at the same time, I was trying to figure out my feelings for him. I thought about everything he had done for me sense I met him, and Then I knew.
I smiled warmly at him. "I love you too, Luffy."
Only moments later Brook came up to the deck and saw Luffy and Nami kissing. He began to play a slow and romantic song for them with the stars as their spotlight.
