It was her perfect life, her perfect family.
She had two beautiful children, and an amazing husband that had trouble forcing out words. Her house was beautiful, her town was beautiful, and she had everything she could ever wish for. She simply loved kissing her husband and reading to her children, especially in the random moments of depression she would feel every now and again—as if something or someone was missing from this beautiful life of hers. She found solace in her family and strode forward into the world, head held high.
But it was all fake.
She was once again a temp travelling all of time and space with a madman in a blue box. She was ordinary again—the least important woman in the universe. The first night was the hardest. Her travelling companion found her curled up on a couch in the library, staring into the fireplace that crackled merrily in a corner. He held her as she wept into his brown jacket, rocking her slightly and helping her to calm down. The next day she acted as if it hadn't happened, but he caught her staring at a piece of paper where two beautiful children and a man had been drawn. At night, as he walked past her door to reach her room, he would sometimes hear names as the woman murmured in her sleep. Maybe Josh, maybe Ella, maybe Lee.
And then she forgot.
Perhaps it was a kind thing, a chance for her to start all over again. And she did, with no knowledge of her best friend—the Doctor—or the family that she used to have. Through this new, different life, she was happy because she didn't know anything was amiss. She would never know of the lives and worlds she saved or simply of the adventures she had experiences.
And so the most important woman in the universe moved on.
