Inter Milan Manager
It was new year's day, 2014. I was celebrating with Andreas. Just pepsi and pizza. I wasn't in the mood for celebration really; inter milan had lost another match. We'd probably be out of the eupopa league places now. I know what everyone's thinking…no I'm not a crazy fanboy( I'm a boy, since I didn't mention it). No that wasn't the reason, I wasn't a suportor of inter, no wait I was. I worked at Inter milan. Sounds exciting dosen't it? Well it kinda was. Then again it was depressing. Very depressing lately. I had joined as an assistant to the youth team coach in 2011. So, I missed the golden years, but still I had seen the club loose a lot. The new owners didn't really impress me. They weren't bad but…they were restrictive to say the least. Then there was to defeat to start the new year with.2-0 to atalanta, 'disgraceful' as Andreas put it. Anyway, back in august, my boss, Vincente Lazzone left the club to retire in peace and spend his days happily in Spain with his wife. So I was given charge of the youth team. My season wasn't going badly tough…there were a few really promosing players in the youth team. One the time Guisseppe Tiero, one of the members of the managing board, told me that I had a lot of potential. When he left I was punching the air vigorously. Anyway, so were 'celebrating' and I got a text on my mobile. It was from Alesandro, my coleague. 'Mazzarri's been sacked, come quickly'.I groaned loudly. The rest of the night, I don't remember very well, but the main events are as follows. I took a cab went to San Siro. Inside, surpisingly, I was called to the room of the owner, Wang, a businessman from Bankok. I didn't know why I was called there. I had only met Wang a few times before, I wasn't sure he'd noticed me much. I walked in and he asked me to take a steat. 'You might be wondering why I have called you here so you have heard, I, along with the board of directors have decided to sack Walter'. His face showed signs of fatigue, his voice sounded tired and frustrated. 'The club finds itself in a difficult position now' he continued 'we are without a head coach and manager'. 'For this job, we need someone who understands the philosopy of this club, someone who has worked is where you come in. I have been told that you are a promising manager, a good tactician. Hence, I wish to appoint you as the Manager of Inter Milan. I hope you find yourself capable of this prestigious job. We will talk about the details tommorow morning.' I walked out of his office as the manager of one of the most prestigious clubs in europe.
