Finally
I'd cry for hours.
I'd fall into his arms.
I'd feel his breath
On my neck.
I'd hear the beat of his heart.

Gently, he'd kiss
Away all the tears
That I'd cried.
He'd hold me close
To him,
And tell me everything
Was Fine.

I'd nod and believe him,
But I'd feel a rush of guilt.
I can't believe I broke down
All the walls we once built.

And finally,
I'd smile.
He'd make me feel so right.
He'd pull me close.
And look into my eyes.

"You're beautiful," he'd tell me.
I'd blush and look away.
"Harry, stop.
"You don't mean it.
"You don't mean anything you say."
