Delicate Happiness
By Annalee

I sit before a silent crowd,
They stare intently, watching,
Waiting for me to take the stage,
And let my voice flow into them.
Their eyes lock on me
As I step onto the familiar battleground,
My only battleground in life.
Behind me, a beautiful intertwining melody plays,
And without a thought,
My eyes shade my vision to black,
And my voice echoes through even my own ears.
For what it's worth, I am alone,
The only one surviving in a black oblivion,
That only bends when my voice implies.
Before it begins, it is over,
I am back among the crowd,
Which roars to life with astounding audacity.
When I bow, receiving the generosity of my watchers,
The smile fits into place,
As I finally feel that the bliss I relied upon,
Has brought me more joy than any other.

Silent Too Long
By Jess

For one brief second, I saw freedom,
One moment, I knew how to be in control,
I was in charge and knew what I was doing.
It was all too much like a dream.
Nightmarish, is more like,
Living with no implication of what will work,
Or what may crumble.
In the blink of an eye,
Your world disintegrates and loneliness sets in.
Lost with no direction, under no discretion,
I falter and die, yet for others,
This freedom would be beauty.
For me, my silence has been too long,
This freedom is utter torture.

The Beauty of Me
By the All Mighty and Wonderful Zamza

Far and wide,
Low and high,
I find no beauty,
Such as I.
In no river,
Valley or plain,
Have I found more flowing,
Than my raven mane.
The eyes, they sparkle,
The teeth, they gleam,
The strength within me,
Makes weaklings scream.
The perfect warrior,
Is easy to see,
Because, of course,
That is the beauty of me.

A Knight's Oath
By Camus of the Matilda Knights

Adorned in beautiful crimson red,
The coming battle swims in my head,
I see the faces of the others that fight,
The tears that falling blood ignites,
The pain and pity that each one feels,
The scars that remain, though the wounds will heal.
But through the mud and broken dreams,
There lay the ones that make it seem
As though the battle will win the glory
To continue the bloodlust of time's dark story,
The ones who bow and stay polite,
The ones who tell the wrong from right,
The ones who fight with honor and skill,
The ones who contain the power and will,
To stand with pride, engulfed in light,
And proclaim the oath of a valiant knight.
