'C'mon I can do this. Look, there's a little kid, he can't even be older than nine, and he was laughing the whole time! I really need to toughen up, even my MOM says so! That's pathetic.' He thought to himself as he slowly backed away from the roller coaster.
It wasn't all rides that bothered him, just roller coasters. With all the loops, and drops, and curves, he could barely stand to look at one, let alone get on one. 'Maybe I'll just…' He took another step backwards, and another, and another, until he came into contact with something solid. He faltered in step and clumsily turned around.
Behind him was a boy that looked about the same age as the one he had seen on the coaster before. He had a frown on his face and he was glaring at Sora. "Watch where you're going! I'm in line for the ride, could you not kill me?" Sora blinked in surprise, "Are you getting on or not?" The kid asked rudely. Sora shook his head and stumbled away. 'This is stupid!' He mentally yelled, 'I've got to be braver than this!' He continued walking, hands shoved in his pockets. 'I don't even know why I'm scared. Nothing ever happened to me.' He walked until he had reached the roller coaster again, but this time, he stopped, 'Why am I scared?'
Maybe it was all the stories on the news about people getting hurt and dying that frightened him. Or maybe it was their height and speed. Why was it when he looked at or came within the vicinity of one he would run away with his tail between his legs like a frightened puppy?
He glanced up at the hulking mechanism, drew a deep breath and began walking towards it, 'what's the point of life if you don't live it to it's fullest?' To do that you have to take chances and taking chances meant facing fears. So when you got down to the point, after all that logic crap, if having fun meant standing up to your fears, then he would do it.
After all, a little kid could.
