A Slayers One Shot
Gathering together in the middle of the night the four high school students shared skeptical glances at the figure floating in front of them. It had been a week since they had each received a mysterious package in the mail. The contents of each were a Polaroid of themselves, a light stone etching of a person frighteningly like them, and a note with an address and a time. The first to step forward was Lina Suzuki. Quickly up behind her, like a protective shadow, was said captain's boyfriend Gourry Ito. Then fearfully tiptoed the young Amelia Fukazawa followed casually by her "not-boyfriend" Zelgadis Matsuo. They made their way, following the odd figure into the school library.
Frowning poignantly at the Polaroid, then the etching the young girl pointed out the female's one flaw…
"I have bigger breasts then that!" She exclaimed with utter distress…
There was a general inhalation shared by those around her as her hands went fearfully up to squeeze her own chest…her face grew paler and more confused as she looked up to her boyfriend
"I don't…do I? I never thought they were…but…WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME!"
The amused mazoku took a moment to chuckle between continuing.
"I really don't think that's the point…" he said with a mischievous grin, "though I must admit I was hoping your appearance would change after a few reincarnations…or at least that one aspect"
"So you're saying that Lina is…"
"Lina Inverse. Exactly."
"That's ridiculous! I'd have to be some jellyfish brained half elf swor…"
"Swordsman, Gourry Gabriev. Not the smartest guy around but man were you good with that sword of yours."
Peering curiously over Lina's shoulder, the other three teenagers stared intently at the stone etchings which the mysterious "Xellos" had presented to them. Polaroids, mirror images of their respective etchings lay aside them.
"You have to admit, the resemblance is uncanny…"
Standing up abruptly, the red haired schoolgirl placed her hands on her hips and arched her eyebrow at Xellos.
"Say we believe you, what do you want from us?"
Grinning wickedly, Xellos leaned into Lina and whispered
"Sore wa himitsu desu."
Raising a brow Xellos finally stepped onto solid ground and with this, opened a void beside him.
"Would you like to find out?"
As the four unsuspecting teenagers walked into the darkness, a malevolent force laughed.
