Author's note: I feel like a one-shot. Partially because I'm much too lazy to try writing a bunch of chapters. I can't come up with anything funny for this. Um, I feel like writing something in first-person, since it is the perspective the series is written in. This takes place somewhere in the middle of Eclipse. After Victoria and the young vampires have gone bye-bye, after the wedding plans, but before they go to tell Charlie. After all, he's the impending doom we must all be anticipating in the fourth book.
"Edward." I whispered into the blackness of my room. I had hoped he would still be there, but I figured I could be wrong every once in a while. After all, his eyes had been getting darker recently, and if he were to have gone hunting with Jasper and Emmett, then I was sure I wouldn't have minded.
"Bella." I heard the soft, velvet voice from somewhere in the room. I was smiling in relief.
"How will we tell Charlie?" I was curious. More so about how Charlie would take it. Would he seriously pull a gun on Edward? I laughed quietly to myself at the thought. Charlie didn't like Edward too much, but surely he'd never be so violent.
"What?" Edward asked. I felt him on the bed next to me, his ice-cold hand finding mine.
"If Charlie wanted to shoot you what would you do?" I asked, wishing I could see his face.
"Well, I'd know when to stop talking, wouldn't I?"
"What was he thinking before I went upstairs to bed?" I asked in almost a whisper.
"He was thinking about the game, Bella." Edward stated.
"August thirteenth?" I asked, paritally changing the subject.
"Yes, Bella. The thirteenth." He replied before softly kissing me. His cool arms enveloped me. "Now go to sleep. Tomorrow, you've got to tell Charlie. He has to know." And he hummed, the familiar lullaby, as I drifted off into sleep.
So, that's my short Twilight fan fiction. Read and review and... I'll try harder next time. It's kind of sort of late, so I'm too tired to think. Haha.
