Authors Note:
This is the first actual thing I've written in a while that I felt like posting here. I'm not sure where it came from really, just was watching G.I. Joe (YO JOE!) And this popped out in the morning. I'm not sure how much I like it, but I wanted to put it out there.
Anyway; I hope you like it, let me know, comments are love and hell, anything is better than dead silence.

She felt this way every time he went on a mission. The nervousness in the pit of her stomach; what if this time he didn't return?

As usual he'd try to alleviate her fears, signing quietly that everything would be alright, he was ninja and it was a routine mission.

She wouldn't say that it was the routine missions that scared her most, those could go wrong so much easier. And even a ninja could make a mistake.

She wouldn't say it out loud, but he knew, as he always did, what she was thinking and so he took in her in his arms and held her. Giving her the strength she needed and a shoulder to cry on before she fell into an exhausted sleep.

He would be gone in the morning before she woke, on his mission that required secrecrecy, so much so that she knew nothing about it.

But she would be able to hold her head high, knowing that with luck he would return to her, just as he always did.
