A Warrior in Pink

"How do I look?" Jess stood in front of Sam, in full racing gear.
Sam took in Jess' race attire. She wore pink from head to toe: from the pink terry cloth headband holding her long blonde strands in place to the pink socks and shoelaces on her Reebox sneakers. Her pink and white Komen shirt had her entry number positioned at her waist: 17533.
"Fabulous." Sam swept Jess into a hug. She stood on her tiptoes as they kissed for luck. "See you at the finish line."
Jess smiled and then joined the other runners at the starting line.
