One Day A Girl Came Home
It was dark. Maybe around 8:00PM, maybe a little after. Kagome came home on her blue bike and placed it in the garage behind her house. Taking a deep breathe she closed the door and walked to the back door. She unlocked the door, and made a bee line towards her room.
Turning on the light to her room, she dumped her things onto the floor. Even before she could sit down, a voice from the living room called her. Looking over she noticed it was her mother, who had beckoned her.
Suddenly a bolt of fear struck through her body. Slowly she walked through the door acting casual. "Yeah?" she asked.
"Did you get your math test back?" her mother asked.
She knew she had failed another test, but she didn't want to tell her mother because she feared that her mother would yell at her again and call her stupid. "No... she said that she still has to wait for people to take it. Thy take forever!" Kagome sighed.
"Maybe she posted it online. Go sign in and show it to me." Ordered Kagome's mother.
Kagome, once again, became worried. She had no idea if it had been posted online or not.
Walking back to her room she logged onto the grade website and saw that her latest test had been posted. Gulping she unplugged her computer and took it to her mother. "So?" her mother asked.
"I failed." Kagome sighed.
"This is bad. You're getting a D! Why are you getting bad grades? I work so hard and you do this. My weekend is work trying to make you pass. You're so much work. Everything about you is a disappointment."
Kagome stood there. When her mother put down the computer, she took the computer and as she walked back to her room the tears fell freely.
One is her she put the computer on the floor, and lay down on the bed clutching herself as the tears continued to fall down her cheeks.
She knew for the rest of her life she would never forget those words.
"Everything about you is such a disappointment."
My dad actually said that to me. It hurt my feelings a lot and it really makes me feel like i'm worth nothing, that everything about me is a disappointment.
I'm going to work on it some more and make this chapter longer. Tell me what you think!!
Thanks for reading!
