Max stormed up the stairs of her mother's home huffing and puffing. She walked into her room and slammed the door with enough force to knock the pictures off the wall in the room below her.
She had just gotten into yet another argument with Fang. It seemed they were happening a lot lately. Ever since they first had sex. It didn't make sense to her, but thinking about she wondered if it was because they had forgotten the condom and things were really nerve wrecking up until the at home pregnancy test came back negative. Ever since then they seemed to be fighting more, almost as if it was their subconscious way making sure the pregnancy scare never happened again. It bothered her to know end how close they came to ruining their lives, not that having Fang's baby would be a bad thing. She loved him more then life itself, but if they ever did have kids together she wanted it to be after marriage, when they were adults. Right now both of them were barely seventeen and a half.
This argument was as dumb as the last. Sighing max laid back on her bed.
"Maybe Fang and I dating was a mistake after all." she thought as she slowly drifted to sleep.
Max grunted as she was thrown back by Ari. Landing on the soft sand she looked back in time to see Fang struggling with Ari. Ari raised his clawed hand and brought it down swiftly wounding Fang.
"FANG!" Max yelled getting to her feet. Fang slumped to the ground and Ari cackled evilly. Max ran up to him tears in her eyes. She dropped to her knees next to his bleeding form.
"Fang, Fang, can you here me?" she called as the tears threatened to fall. he groaned in pain. She leaned down and kissed Fang gently on the lips. The tears finally fell as she wrapped her arms around him and cried.
"Please don't leave me." she cried.
The world around the two teens became black, dark and cold. Fang's body faded into the darkest right out from under Max.
"FANG!" She cried. "Please don't leave me! I Love You!"
Max shot up in bed gasping and sweaty. She held her chest trying to slow her racing heart. She realized she was crying when she felt the tears roll down her cheeks. She whipped them away and then got up, out of bed. Quietly, she walked down the hall toward a certain bird boy's room. Inching the door open quietly she stepped in. She crept over to the bed and lifted the blankets a little to crawl in. Fang groaned sleepily, but scooted over to make room for her. She curled up to him and laid her head on his chest.
"What time is it?" He asked groggily.
"2:10" she replied. He smirked.
"I thought you were mad at me." he said, wrapping his arm around her waist.
"Yea, well, Arguing is for the birds."
