Title: Redspot

Pairing: Uryuu/Renji

Rating: R

Uryuu ran his fingers over the shelf -- 540, 545 ... 547.3 STR, where was it now? The latest edition of Organic Chemistry had just come in but it seems someone already beat him to it. Through the gaps in the shelving, he caught a flash of red. Hmm, someone being uncharacteristically studious today? Not likely.

He moved along noiselessly, and turned around the corner to the next aisle behind. His pursuer followed in parallel, flaming red strobing through the gaps between books. Uryuu quickened his steps and darted around to 796 Recreation. He plucked off the nearest book and deliberately stepped clear of the shelves. No one emerged. He smiled, a slight curl of the lips, and strolled over to the last row of reading carrels. Uryuu settled himself into a seat, and looked down at his random book choice. "The History of Ball Games". Oh.

He decided to give the book ten minutes. Moments later, he heard the muffled scratch of a chair leg over the carpet as someone claimed the carrel opposite his. He shifted, slid his butt forward and stretched out his legs. There was a creak, a rustle and something bumped up against him. Uryuu peered below. Like a jack in the box, Renji's head popped up between his knees.

"Ack..." Renji's struggles were muffled echoes in the small space beneath the carrel, as he wormed about, gripping Uryuu's knee for balance. "Why do they make them so small?"

Uryuu frowned, and swallowed a curse. He quickly scanned the surroundings, in case the librarian came by on her rounds.

"Haah," Renji sighed audibly. A self-satisfied, langourous and almost obscene sound, in the hallowed sanctity of a place of study. He finally succeeded in fitting his long legs under him, and nestled cosily against Uryuu's crotch.

"I don't have much time. There's lab after this..."

"Come on, we have one whole hour of break," Renji cajoled. "And besides you've been staying up late. You need to relax." The shinigami waggled his over-decorated brows, eyes shiny and greedy.

"Just the essay," Uryuu decided. It was good there was a solid wall behind him.

"Uh uh, throw in the test answers and we're cool."

A hard bargain.

Renji gave Uryuu's calf a reassuring squeeze, and slid one hand up his thigh. "I'll make it real good, baby. Promise."
