An X Files Christmas Story
This is my kind of tale to tell at Christmas! Scully knew it was Christmas night, for she could feel it in the air
As she peered out the window at lights hung with care
Suddenly she heard a loud banging on the door
And scrambled across the room to see what all the racket was for
She opened up the door and wasn't surprised to find
Her partner standing at the door shivering as he whined
"We have an important case to solve involving Cigarette Smoking Man,"
He's plotting a huge conspiracy to steal Christmas, if he can."
Scully rolled her eyes as she grabbed her coat, wishing she could stay
But she'd grown tired of arguing with Mulder, because he always got his way.
She stubbornly walked out the door and got into the car
Mulder drove off into the dark but they didn't get very far
When suddenly a bright light from above them did appear
The distinctive sound of sleigh bells were all that they could hear
They followed the light, journeying through the winter snow
And the continuous sound of sleigh bells did soon begin to grow
Suddenly, the bright light dissapeared,
And they were left with the mysterious sound of sleigh bells ringing in their ears.
Through the car window Scully could see
A building in the distance and children full of glee
It looked as if it might have been some sort of gigantic workshop
And as they approached the building,in amazement, Scully halted to a stop
She couldn't believe what she saw, for to her it did appear
The children looked like little men with hats and pointy ears
They paid no attention to the fact that she was standing there,
Instead, they continued working, seperating packages pair by pair
"There has to be some kind of scientific explanation," Scully thought to herself
But she soon came to the conclusion that this could be nothing else than elves.
But Mulder knew better then to think that elves lived anywhere but the North Pole,
And he instantly came up with an explanation when the elves began to glow
For they weren't making the presents, they were abducting them
With the help and the brains of the Cigarette Smoking Man.
Mulder quickly searched for the power of electricity so he could destroy their evil plot
In the meantime Scully ran, it was the Cigarette Smoking Man she sought
Losing her sense of direction, Scully tripped on a huge mass of wire
Which short circuited the electricity causing the building to set on fire!
They scurried out of the building and hurled themselves to the ground
As the building blew to pieces with the most earsplitting sound
The agents raced back to the car and proceeded back to where they came from,
They knew that their work for the night had finally been done.
And since then, Mulder knew that that night was living proof
That he could never stop pursuing his search for the truth.
The Truth Is Out There
Trust No One
