People staring
Everyone caring
To you it's a fear
The feeling made you feel like your end was near
Your stomach turned
Your body screamed and yearned,
"Sit back down, go back!"
But courage is something you lack
So you stayed where you are
You'd already made it that far
You started to speak
Your legs were weak
Everyone stared
You weren't prepared
For their judgmental looks
Their eyes felt like hooks
Pushing into your skin
You were forced to take it in
You stutter
People begin to mutter
Your cheeks become red
Your mind is filled with dread
They judged, they judged
People were nudged
Giggles were heard
You could barely say a word
Tears fell
People could tell
They didn't care
It was rare
They got entertainment like this
The shadows began to hiss,
"Look what you've done"
"They all find this fun."
Finally you fell
And there sounded the bell
You lied on the ground
People gathered around
Some walked out
After finding a different route
Doctors called it by a name
One that was to blame
What was it that caused everything to go black?
An anxiety attack.
