Hey, it's me again. Ok, I don't do poetry much and I guess you could also call this a
songfic if you wanted to. This is my first poem and I am going to put up another one.

Painful Memories
As I walk through this empty world
Memories of you rise in my mind
I think of your sadness, your tears falling onto your face
Cries of pain and suffering are still fresh in my mind
But why couldn't I feel it?
Why couldn't I feel sorry for what I had done?
Your sadness is my pain,
Your loneliness is my suffering,
And your broken heart is the cause of me
Of my own selfish choices
And now it's nothing but painful memories
As I search for myself
I think of how happy and innocent you used to be
Why did I do it to you?
Why you?
You did nothing to hurt me
And yet I still hurt you and know I must pay
Your sadness is my pain,
Your loneliness is my suffering,
And your broken heart is the cause of me
Of my own selfish choices
And now it's nothing but painful memories
As I look at my life, I still don't understand
Why did you save me?
Why didn't you just let me pay?
I'm suffering deep inside
But I just want to make things right
Take my hand
I swear I'll do everything I can
Just take my hand

Nothing but painful memories
