Hey guys, it's argella1300 again. I originally got this idea because my English teacher gave us an assignment to write a sonnet. But we had to use the words she'd specified at the end of every line. For your information, I've put those words in italics.

As some of these terms may be confusing to some of you guys, I've included a short glossary at the end.

Anyways, I've tried my hardest to keep this in pentameter as much as possible. But I think it turned out pretty nicely. So, I invite you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or the song Drops of Jupiter by Train (cookies to those who figure out where I snuck in the line form that song!) All shows/music belong to their respective owners.

The rose-haired maiden is quiet

in my arms. Her breathing is softer than a butterfly's kiss

on my neck. The jumble of thoughts in my head are throwing a riot,

but when I look at her, all my thoughts melt into the abyss.

Spring is when I love to have her near, beneath the trees

because she listens like spring and she talks like June.

Her eyes light up my night sky with a flash of pea

green, shining like a jewel. Her hands are rough like a prune,

but when my sight gets hazy, my sight is clear as crystal

thanks to her. She is my one, my only, Sakura, bar

none. When her eyes fill with shining stars, I would rather hold a pistol

to my head than see them fall. A guitar

strumming yanks me back. The riot on which I brooded,

thanks to my Sakura, is now concluded.

Meter: the pattern of syllables that determines or sets the rhythm of a poem. In order to determine meter you have to calculate feet.

Feet:a unit of two syllables. The number of feet per line = meter. To find how many feet there are in a line, you count up all the syllables and divide by two.

For example:

2 syllables=1 ft=monometer

4 syllables=2 ft=diameter

6 syllables=3 ft=trimeter

And so on and so forth.

Sonnet: a fourteen line poem with ten syllables per line, making it have a meter of pentameter.

Now, for those of you up to a challenge, I have one in store for you. I challenge you to write a sonnet, using the same words I used in my sonnet. Each line hsould preferably have ten syllables, you can fudge it a little if you need to. You should also punctuate your sonnet as well. This sonnet can be about whatever you want, and just because you've reached the end of a line doesn't mean it has to be the end of an idea.

Once you're finished, post it on the site and send me a link to it via PM. I look forward to seeing your sonnets if you choose to write one.

Please review and let me know what you think ^_^
