A/N: Yes, it is short, but I'm just getting started. No, it's nothing to do with a new Zodiac. The reason why Tohru can suddenly transform will be disclosed in later chapters.

Chapter One.

At first, Kyo thought it was a rat. A tailess one, but still a rat. However, there was something about the way it was scuttling round in circles that reminded him of somebody. Rodents didn't normally run in circles, did they? And why were its eyes bugging out like that? The more he stared at it, the more it reminded him of Tohru. A freaking out Tohru, but still…the way it kept on repeating the same circle.

Come to think of it, where was Tohru? She hadn't been upstairs, since he'd looked. And she wasn't in the garden. She might have gone down to the shops…no, she would have told him if that were the case.

"Dammit! Where the hell are you, Tohru?" He growled, eyes still fixed on the panicking rodent. "Why the hell have you just vanished without…"

The reason he'd stopped in mid sentence was because the rodent had suddenly stopped dead at the sound of his voice, and then turned and stared up at him. Or tried to, anyway. Its nose twitched once, its eyes widened, and there was a small explosion.

Wait. What?

As the resulting smoke cleared, Kyo found himself staring at a very embarrassed Tohru. A very embarrassed and very naked Tohru. For a few seconds, nothing happened. The next few moments were strained, to say the least.

"Uhh…I…how the…what the…"

"Umm, K-Kyo? Could you turn round please? I-I have to get dressed!"

The fact that Tohru was actually naked finally filtered into Kyo's stunned mind, and he spun to face the wall, face red enough to rival a traffic light.

"Uh…Tohru?" he asked, at last.

"Yes?"

"What the hell just happened?"

"Umm…well, you see, I was doing the washing up, when I sneezed. AndthenIturnedintoaguineapigandIdidn'tknowwhattodo,soIwastryingtothinkofsomethingbutI..."

"Calm down. Seriously, I think I only understood about one word you just said then. Are you dressed yet? Cause I feel kinda stupid talking to the wall."

"Oh! Yes, I am."

He turned.

"Tell me again what happened. Slowly, this time."

After all, it certainly wasn't usual when a completely normal girl suddenly turned into a small, tailess rodent.
