Alec doze lightly outside in the shade of the house as the golden sun's rays beat down on the land. He and Magnus had rented a small vineyard in the south of France. It was about 6 acres of vineyard, complete with a large, old house on the hill overlooking the vineyard. The house had recently been painted from its faded yellow to a vibrant blue. The shutters on the windows had been thrown open earlier by Magus to let some light into the house, something which Alec regretted him doing as the house became a baking inferno and so he had retreated outside into the shade in the hopes that a non-existent wind might blow to cool him down somewhat.
Magnus wandered back with the usual pep in his step and dresses in his usual attire, golden harem pants, a loose bright purple tee-shirt, sparkly red shoes (his constant Wizard of Oz references with them were beginning to make Alec regret pointing them out to him in Paris) and baby blue framed sunglasses. 'Honey, I'm hooooome!' Magnus announced in an enthusiastic voice. He had spent his morning wandering about the vineyard and also had paid a visit to the local town to see if there were any small, petit boutiques that would catch his fancy but to his dismay there weren't. Needless to say he got more than this fare share of ogling locals as he passed by them, their mouths literally hanging open at his eccentric attire and unusual eyes. 'Hmm?' replied a very sleepy Alec. 'Get up you!' Magnus laughed kissing Alec gently on the lips, 'You're the one who requested we go somewhere scenic in France instead of just Paris so here we are and what do you do? Sleep! '. 'I'm sorry' mumbled Alec 'you know how sleepy this unbearable heat makes me'. Magnus just laughed at his boyfriend, finding his sleepy mumbling very cute, 'Come on, let's go for a stroll together.' 'Okay' Alec replied, rubbing his dazzling blue eyes as he got up and stretched.
The two lovers meandered slowly through-out the vineyard, holding hands, as the sun slowly descended down below the horizon. It's intense yellow colour of earlier, turning a bright orange and then crimson red as it sank lower and lower only to be replaced by the bright light of the moon. By the time the pair had returned to the house the moon was high in the sky, casting its light on the pair as if to guide their way home, helping along by the billions of stars twinkling in the sky also. Magnus nuzzled his face into Alec's neck as they began the short ascent up the hill towards the house, 'Mmm, that aftershave you have on smells divine, what is it?' 'Lacoste Challenge, something I picked up in Paris. I'm glad you like it, I thought you might like the smell of it.' 'You know me too well' Magnus chuckled as he stared lovingly into Alec's twinkling blue eyes. He slowly went in for a kiss and they both sat down on the hill beside each other, Alec in Magnus' arms as they both gazed at the stars and enjoyed their tranquil surroundings.
Alec tilted his head back to look at Magnus and his deep-blue eyes met Magnus' magnificent cat ones. Magnus slowly leaned down to kiss Alec gently on the lips and then whispered softly into his ear, 'I love you Alec Lightwood'. 'I love you too, more than anything' Alec immediately replied and went and kissed Magnus passionately on the lips. The couple kept like this for about half an hour before Magnus broke off with a gasp and exclaimed LOOK! Above in the sky, hundreds of shooting stars streaked across the inky sky, trailing their dazzling white tails behind them before disappearing to nothing.
'This is amazing' Alec said in a complete state of awe. The pairs eyes were transfixed on the sky for several minutes before Magnus finally looked away from the hypnotic site in the sky to look lovingly at Alec and say 'A perfect night outside, fit to spend with a perfect boyfriend.'
