The battle had lasted for 20 days. All of the muscles strings and tendants ached and they where on fire he couldn't keep up for long. Sweat covered his whole body. The sweat on his palms was making it harder to hold his sword and it slipped a little more every time he swung at a monster. He was tired but the battle in tarrturus was no use the monsters would just keep reappearing. The pressure of being down in the ear so deep was giving Percy a bone crushing head ache. Why was he doing this ? Because he was trying to protect Annabeth. Annabeth was slashing left and right with her dagger that they had found.

"Annabeth run".

"But Percy I can't leave you here I will never let you go"

"Annabeth go we won't make it together go"

Tears were streaming down Annabeth's dirty face. Annabeth ran. She turned back one last time and yelled

"I Will never Forget you Percy I LOVE YOU"

"I LOVE you too"

Annabeth caught one last glimpse of Percy. And what She saw would give her nightmares for the rest of her life. Annabeth saw Luke kill Percy. The boy that she had a crush on killed the man that she loved. Annabeth ran as fast as she could. She didn't know where she was going she just ran. Percy was dead and she had no reason to live anymore. IT didn't matter, Nothing mattered anymore. All she wanted was Percy back.

Annabeth ran she ran as fast as she could. After what seemed like an eternity she stopped. It was no use the monsters would smell her no matter how far away she was. She was as good as dead with Percy dead. The one thing that kept her going was the fact that she had to close the doors of death from the inside.

If she didn't Close the doors from the inside thousands of more would die and maybe by then it would be to late. And there was always the chance that if Annabeth succeeded she would survive and be picked up by her friends. But all Annabeth wanted was to close those stupid doors and die. She had no reason to live anymore. All that time looking for Percy to only be able to treasure his presence one more for only about one month.

Annabeth crumpled to the floor and began to cry. Tears and sweat with dirt fell down her face. Images of her and Percy on the beach flashed in her head. She had lost him forever and she had to face the cold hard reality. HE would never come back.
