Authors Note: This is a drabble I wrote for the community ASS_LDWS. This is week three's entry which couldn't be over 400 words, and had a photo of a cabin in a forest during winter as a prompt. Please be gentle, I'm new.
Albus opened the door to his family's cabin and entered, bringing along with him a heap of snow and a semi conscious Scorpius. Muttering and cursing his incapacitated companion, he sat him on a sofa in front of the fireplace that, with an idle flick of his wand, Albus had blazing in seconds.
Albus kneeled in front of the sofa and started shaking Scorpius by the shoulders, "Scor-pi-us, wake up you freaking idiot. You have to stay awake long enough to take this," he said as he pulled a phial from his heavy winter robes and uncorked it.
Scorpius tried half-heartedly to resist the horrible smelling liquid but was no match in his state of hypothermia. He sputtered and choked but Albus managed to get enough into Scorpius that immediately his fever broke and his pupils regained their focus.
"Oh Al, you saved me," Scorpius giggled dopily, as he swayed in his seat, Albus' hands on his shoulders the only thing keeping him righted.
"You twit! You could have died, what were you thinking?" Albus said, more concerned than angry.
"I wanted to find you. To tell you I'm sorry," Scorpius stuttered, seeming to regain his ability to create coherent sentences, if not with their usual elegance.
"You've never left angry before and it felt wrong. I never touched him; you're the only one for me."
"I know. I wasn't mad at you, it's just that the thought of you with someone else made me crazy," Albus admitted as his hands slid from Scorpius' shoulders.
"But I don't ever want you to endanger yourself for the sake of me; I'll always come back to you Scorpius. Always."
Albus barely had time to brace for impact when he found Scorpius falling towards him and forcing him backward on to the rug in front of the fireplace. He opened his eyes and found himself staring straight into Scorpius'. Albus opened his mouth to speak but found it otherwise preoccupied when Scorpius' lips met his in a clumsy kiss. Scorpius' mouth was so hot, so deliciously wet, he found himself hating his need for air.
When they did break apart, Scorpius whispered into Albus' ear, "See what happens without you to hold me? I fall apart."
Albus chuckled and chalked up Scorpius' overly sappy statement to his brain being addled from the hypothermia.
"Well, then I'll just have to never let you go."
