He was still walking.
His mind was blank as he shuffled, foot by foot dragging the large sword next to him.
The rain had made the dirt into mud, every now and again he would get stuck and trip.
But he kept going.
The memories slowly coming back.
"You know, you're gonna be a great SOLDIER, I can tell," he smiled at him. His wicked blue eyes bright with excitement. The black haired SOLDIER stood and left.
Smiling.
He was always smiling.
Cloud looked up at the sky; the clouds parting forming a ray of light were his dead comrade laid.
"At least someone's keeping up,"
"Well, I'm a country boy too,"
"From where?"
"Nibelheim."
The black haired SOLDIER started to laugh.
"How about you?"
"Me? Gongaga."
The troop chuckled at him.
"Hey! What's so funny about that! You know Gongaga?"
"No, but it's such a backwater name."
"Ditto Nibelheim," the SOLDIER started walking again.
"Like you've been there."
"I haven't but there's a reactor there right?" the troop nods, "A mako reactor outside Midgar usually means…"
Together the SOLDIER and troop said "Nothing else out there." They both looked at each other and started to laugh.
The SOLDIER calls down to the men below them, "Good news Tseng! Me and…" he looks to the troop.
The troop removes his helmet revealing long blonde spiky hair.
"Cloud."
"Me and Cloud here are both backwater experts. Oh yeah!" The SOLDIER turns and continues walking he was,
Smiling.
Cloud swore he saw an angel coming down from that light in the sky.
Saw him leading the black haired SOLDIER, his comrade, his.. Friend, up into that light.
"Hey, would you say I became a hero?" Zack asked from up in the sky.
"Yeah… You are a hero."
Cloud then continued walking, going home.
