Summary: Short, very short ficlet of Lily's thoughts from something that
happens in the episode The Imposter. Lily/Ray.
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the RFR characters or Mickey's, but I wouldn't mind owning Ray.
A/N: Was watching The Imposter and thought that Lily's laugh was sudden and could be seen this way. Just some fun development on Lily perhaps liking Ray.
Just Another Friday at Mickey's
Ray was goofing off. Travis was reading. Robbie and I were just sitting. Being bored. As usual.
Next thing I new we were talking about Ray. Robbie mentioned that Ray did something dorky. This caught my attention. It was always fun to turn the tables and make fun of Ray for once, rather than him making fun of me.
Robbie and Ray were hanging out, apparently gawking at 2 girls. Erin and Paige. Erin I know and like, but Paige has always bothered me. Yet the two were best friends and so I've talked to both of them. But anyway, according to Robbie, Ray went to ask Paige out and totally blew it. Then, the funny part was that he took her retainer.
Yes. Took her retainer. He's going to use it to ask her out! I just don't understand him. Ask her out already if you like her! I knew what his answer would be, though, to that statement. That he can't.
Something's annoying me though, in the back of my mind. "I didn't know you, uh, liked Paige Garcia," I hinted. I wanted details, really. Why did he like her? She didn't have a personality at all.
"Well, I do, kinda. But, then again I might just be asking her out to make somebody else jealous."
A loud, uncontrolled laugh came out of my mouth before I even thought about laughing. I'd heard that you do that when you're really nervous. Must've been an exception. I covered up for my strange laugh by saying, "No, seriously, that's a good one, Ray." I felt this weird burning sensation and my stomach twisted up. I didn't get it. I hadn't eaten anything out of the ordinary, had I? I asked him why he didn't just ask Paige out, but I wasn't even thinking about what I said. My mind was elsewhere.
My throat felt suddenly dry, but I swallowed a couple times and ignored it. There was nothing to be all worked up about.
After all, it was just another Friday at Mickey's.
