How are you doing? I'm fine. We've all started studying for N.E.W.T.S. and its driving me nutters. I can't stand it- it's only because of Remus that I would do well. Sirius says hi, and to bake some more of those biscuits you sent, Mum. I've been thinking about how you and Dad met. You met on the train, Dad helped you with your trunk, and you became friends and fell in love. It sounds so simple. Wish life would be easier for me. I'll see you at Christmas.

James, love isn't simple. It took your father and me almost four years to finally go out on a date. You have to know exactly what you want, James. And don't interpret that like it's some sort of game and you're in it to win it. When I met your father, I knew I would always remember him, even if that was the only time I saw him in my life. You have to know, James, if you really want to be with this girl and if you want to spend the rest of your life with her. If you only want to date her, since she's the only one who has said no, then I have nothing to say.
