Leaving you behind

I'm running
Running as if there was no tomorrow
This may sound banal
But it's true, nonetheless
I'm running
And don't know whither

I'm able to dodge, to avoid
I dodge obstacles, I avoid people
Who try to nail me down on something
Who try to get hold of me
To hold me down

Faster, faster
Just like the wind
Just like thunder
I want to outpace both of them
Want to leave them behind
So that there's nothing
Neither obstructing my view
Nor my way

I'm running
Aiming for nothing else
Than being the best in this one ability
It is my ability
My passion and my strength
And
Somehow a part of myself

I'm running
Although I don't know whither my path leads
Although there are so many opponents blocking it
So that I get my chance of
Proving that I'm worth of
My team, my reputation

Now, they're here
Just in front of me and waiting
For me
To make a wrong decision
Now, there's no way I could avoid and
Leave them behind
Those opponents, those challengers

Now
I'm not looking down on you
I'm no longer leaving you behind
For I want to face you
Attacking is the only option
Offense our only way of winning

I'm running
And I'll outpace
Both the wind and the thunder and you
No avoiding
Now, it's fighting one on one
And I'll give it my all
I'll let my legs fly me
Away
To some place far ahead
After I beat you
Not only with my pace
But also my usual nonchalant, coolly
Smile

Just the sky ahead
