This writer's block is driving me insane! Anyways, here's a little tidbit I typed up a few months ago but never posted because I really didn't like it.
I don't own TMNT.
When Raph went to bed he was numb, when he woke up he was numb, when he went to bed the next night, he was still numb, when he woke up the next morning, he remained numb. He ate food without tasting it, he got hit in practice without feeling it, even when his blood was spilled on the dojo floor. The TV was mindless babble and his motorcycle rusted as the weeks bleed into months. He had a horrible dream every night but he always managed to forget it. He knew his home wasn't empty but he knew his life was. He always buried his head in his pillow at night while he lay motionless in his hammock. When he woke up, the dream had vanished and he always wondered why his pillow was tear stained.
His father was gone, three years previously. He wasn't sure what the rest of his family did, but he remained numb throughout it all. After the first time, he found himself at the door of his older brother's room. When he glanced inside, he saw two forms on the bed and as the little light from the hallway spilt into the room he noticed how his younger brother was already curled up next to Leo. It was a repeat the next day and the day after, the same the day after that and so on until one day, Raph glanced in and found his older brother was alone. His younger brother was no where in sight. Glancing around the red masked turtle slipped inside, closing the door behind him. It was two months later, but the pain was still intense.
The silent turtle seemed to float over the floor until he found himself by the bed. A slight stirring made him freeze.
"Huh? What is it bro?"
He remained silent, hoping that maybe Leo would think he was their younger brother, just coming to him when he needed to. Half a minute of silence ticked by before a hand reached out and took Raph's. The red masked turtle automatically crawled into the bed and nestled himself into his older brother's arms, craving the protection he seemed to offer. Raph couldn't decide if Leo had realized it was him.
To Leo, he wasn't sure which of his little brothers had crawled into his bed. It could've been any of them but he really didn't care. He pulled the younger turtle close and just whispered comforting words as tears dampened his neck.
"No clue why I wrote this." ?_?
"Moonsetta, didn't we just have a little talk about making my little brothers cry," Leo said with a glare.
"That was an interrogation," I protested.
Silence. Promising glare from Leo.
"I will start running now," I said and began running.
"Oh well, things were calm for a short time. AHH!"
"GET BACK HERE MOONSETTA!"
