Tony looked up when the elevator dinged and smirked. Finally, the Probie was here.

McGee looked apprehensively around and groaned when he saw Tony.

"Gee, McGee, something on my nose?"

"Not a word, Tony," said Probie. "Where are Gibbs and Ziva?"

"Gibbs is checking with Duckie about a body found on base and Ziva's in the ladies' room. Probably fixing her hair."

"Don't start, Tony," sighed McGee.

He had to know it was futile, of course. "What, you don't like Ziva's hair? Never call a lady ugly."

McGee raised an eyebrow. "What about that witness last week?"

"Never to her face, McGeek, especially when the lady is as lovely as our Ziva." And right on cue, Ziva strolled back into the room and sat down at her desk.

"Hey, Ziva," said McGee, a bit more friendlily than normal. Like it would save him.

"Ziva," Tony said, looking up at her. "Do you think McGee got a haircut?" McGee was switching between glaring at him and looking like he wished he had called in sick.

"I believe the term is 'shave', Tony. He has no hair left," said a very innocent-looking Ziva David. "Did you not want to keep your blue hair, McGee?"

"Yeah, McGeek, the color really suited your eyes." Tony could tell McGee knew he was responsible and waited for the accusations to begin.

"I know it was you, Tony. You were in my apartment working on the case the night before, um…" McGee trailed off.

"So were Gibbs and Ziva. It could have been them," said Tony, who then pictured all the ways Ziva could probably kill him with that bottle of shampoo. The hair dye he put in there was probably poisonous in large quanities too, so he added, "Not that it was them." He gave Ziva his patented Dinozzo grin.

"Oh, very mature, Tony. This isn't high school," said McGee.

"So you shaved your head in high school too?" said Tony, causing Ziva to roll her eyes.

McGee began to retort, but Gibbs suddenly appeared. "Gear up. We have a case."

He looked at McGee's head without any change of expression, but added, "McGee. Don't forget your hat."

Tony smirked as he stuffed the Early Onset Male Pattern Baldness into his backpack. This was going to be a fun day.
