Lily Luna Potter was furious. Only her first year in Hogwarts and she already found herself in the Headmistresses Office. Why you might ask? Her brother. No, not Albus, he was too kind, no it was James.

The red-head turned to said brother. "Now, look at what you've done! You've gotten us in trouble." She snapped at him. He laughed. "It was just a prank, Lily. And you helped." He pointed out.

A portrait that hung in the office looked at the two kids. He had to do a double take before he realized that the young girl in front of him was not his Lily.

Her eyes grew wide. "You didn't tell me what would happen! Poor Scorpius. And all those other Slytherins." Her face fell.

"What? They were asking for it." James argued. "How were they asking for it?" She asked incredulously. "They are snakes. We are lions. They're inferior. Honestly, Lils, it's the natural order of things." James sighed.

Lily punched him hard on his shoulder. "You need to be taught a lesson you, dimbo!" She scolded. The portraits, all of them, couldn't help but laugh at the display.

Lily looked up, and noticed the pictures watching them with amused grins. Even the dark, scary looking one had a smirk.

"Very nice people have been in Slytherin." Lily retorted, she thought for a second, "And Dad owes his life to that um… what was his name?"

"Snape?"

The greasy-haired portrait leaned forward, not wanting to miss a word.

"Yes, James. Dad owes his life to Snape. And he was the Head of Slytherin House." Lily said.

"Okay, there was one good Slytherin." James conceded. "What about Scorpius! He's been nothing but kind." Lily said. "That's because he likes you. It doesn't change that he's a conniving slithering snake." James said exasperated.

"James Sirius Potter! You are a prat! A toerag!" Lily huffed in annoyance.

The portrait of Severus Snape couldn't stifle a grin. No, that was not his Lily… But it was definitely her granddaughter.
