All kinds of criticisms are welcome. Enjoy!

"Hey, _," Alfred began, clearing his throat. He knew perfectly well that she was listening, holding on to his every word. He adjusted his tie for it was beginning to feel too tight for his neck.

"That night when we were stargazing," He was setting two wine glasses; for him, and for her.

The stars were so beautiful, spilled out across the vast black sky. She put both of her hands up as if she could reach them. If he could just reach for the stars, he'd give it to her. Maybe he would even make a necklace out of it.

"They're so beautiful," she said, smiling. Her gaze was still fixed at the stars that were illuminating the night. He looked at her, not saying anything. He wasn't in the mood to be talkative at the moment. The silence they shared together was enough. God, looking at her was enough.

"When you asked for my wish," He continued, taking a swig of his wine. He smiled absentmindedly. Just thinking about that moment, all the emotions buried were swirling in his stomach, wanting to get out of his system. He resisted the impulse to do such thing. Not when you're in front of him, listening to his speech.

Then, a shooting star zipped across the horizon, bright and fast.

"Hey," she said, looking at him. "Make a wish,"

Alfred watched her as she closed her eyes, her lips moving but no words would come out. It made him wonder what she wished for.

"What did you wish for?" he asked right after she opened her eyes. _ just smiled. He didn't expect answer but it was worth trying.

"That's a secret," she said teasingly, chuckling at herself. "You? What did you wish for?"

He didn't speak. Would he tell her?

As if on cue, the phone rang, filling the night's silence.

"I'm sorry, Alfred," she looked at him apologetically. "I have to take this,"

"And I didn't get to tell you what I really wished for," he said, finally. His blue eyes, once cheerful and bright, were dimmed and brimming with tears. No, he couldn't now.

"I wished for you," His hand reached out for the tombstone with her name engraved on it. Then it was over. Like a dam reaching its breaking point, he let himself wallow in tears and self-hatred. "I'm sorry for not telling you. I just didn't want to ruin what we had."
