The Yearly 365 Challenge
Prompt #341 (Emotion) Jealously
"Careful Ronnie; your jealously is showing." A sly voice spoke in her right ear.
Veronica didn't answer. Her eyes were glued to the brown haired douce bag trying to talk up Betty across the room. Her anger rising every single second. Her body tensed up as Betty laughed at whatever that douce said.
Kevin rolled his hazel eyes as he saw his roommate chatting up Betty. "Relax Ronnie; Adam isn't interested in Betty. At least not in the romantic sense."
"He is standing to close to her." Her eyes narrowed as she watched him lay a hand on Betty's shoulder. "How dare he touch her." She moved but stopped as she felt a firm hand on her shoulder.
"Betty doesn't seem to mind his touch. Relax." Kevin sighed. He felt his friend tighten up into a spring rung. He sighed as he lead the way across the room to where Betty and Adam were talking. He fully knew that Veronica would storm her way over to Betty and make quite a fool of her self ... perhaps even pissing off Betty ... or making Betty deeply concern. When in fact Betty should enjoy herself for once. Well if he could help prevent trouble then he was going to do his best. "Hey you two." He grinned as he stopped beside Betty and Veronica was next to Adam.
Adam turned friendly eyes over to Veronica. "Hello Veronica."
Veronica slanted her eyes. She tightly nodded her head.
Yea there is no way to save this situation. Kevin inwardly sighed as he felt the tension rise in Betty all ready. "So enjoying the party?" He tired.
"Yea." Adam nodded his head. His body tensed with the silent anger from the brunnette standing to him. He wondered what he did to cause it ... because he knew it was fully directed at him. "How about you?"
Betty moved so she was standing behind Veronica; she wrapped her arms around Veronica's waist onto her slim stomach. She rested her head on Veronica's stiff right shoulder. "Relax V." She husked in her best friend's ear.
Veronica body relaxed with Betty's arms around her. With Betty's front tightly against her back. She snuggled into the blonde's body as she let her soul be at peace once more. She knew that no matter what Betty would always want to hold her like this. "Sorry Adam; you just caught me in a bad moment was all." She looked over into the kind and understanding eyes of the young man.
Adam shrugged. "No problem. Totally understandable." He was relieved that Veronica wasn't holding any bad against him any longer. He finally figured out what the cause of it was. He hid the knowledge because he knew that Betty still has yet to realize the full truth. "I'm about to head towards the kitchen for a drink; can I bring anything for you guys?" He raised his right eye brow.
"I'm actually ready to head back to the dorm." Betty spoke.
Veronica pulled out of Betty's arms to turn to face her. "Betty you don't have to -"
Betty's eyes turned serious. "I have had enough of the crowd V." Her voice harden slightly. "I have a headache."
Veronica stepped forward and palced her right hand against Betty's neck. "Let's go then." She gently stroaked the smooth skin underneath her palm.
"Let's go then." Betty husked out.
The two young men watched the two young women walk towards the front door. "Does that happen often?" Adam asked as he looked at the side of his roommate's lean face.
Kevin sighed and silently nodded.
