The trek back to Skyhold following the defeat of Corypheus was not a long one, but certainly arduous to the worn-out team. They were beaten, bruised, and all just a little bloody. But it was done, over. And this time Trevelyan was pleased to not have to trudge through waist-deep snow to get to Skyhold. It was the little things, sometimes.

As her comrades and friends scattered into the crowd, she made her way up the steps and toward the main hall and the waiting advisors. Even Leliana was cheering as she approached.

Weary as she was, however, the moment her eyes fell on Cullen her heart soared. She broke into a run, half a limp in her awkward stride forward. She all but leaped into his awaiting arms, an excited giggle as he gave her a quick spin. The wide smile on his lips crept all the way to his eyes, a lovely crinkle at his eyes as they twinkled. Her arms wrapped around his neck as he set her down. Their foreheads touched, her giggles having faded into short and airy breaths. On a whim, he spun and dipped her down into a searing kiss. She squealed into his mouth before relaxing into his steady grasp. The volume of the cheers rose just a little, but nothing to break the two apart - everyone knew better than to come between the Lady Inquisitor and her Commander.
