AN: As you will probably see when you read this fanfiction I am not a fan of high school musical but I do think the songs are quite good.
Chapter One: Gabrielle
My new high school loomed above me and I suddenly felt like jumping back on a plane to England, back to where I belonged.
"Hi." Said a voice from just be my side. "I'm Gabrielle." I tore my eyes away from the gigantic building and looked to my right. Gabrielle was frowning at me as though she thought I was completely mental. "Are you alright?" she said timidly.
I nodded and remembered that I needed to make friends on my first day. "Hi my name is Georgia."
"Georgia huh?" she said smiling. "Do you come from Georgia?" I didn't get it. She sighed. "Never mind. So tell me about yourself." She took my arm and lead me through the front doors as though she had none me from all eternity.
"Well. . ." I said, trying to think of a way of summing up my life in less than a year. ". . .I'm from England, I have a dog, he's called Toby, I run a problem page. . ." she let out a little scream of excitement.
"Will you solve my problem?" she asked animatedly.
"Sure."
"Well I'm in the school play but. . .I want to be in the Mathletes as well." She said furrowing her brow. I blinked at her.
"Well. . ." I said patiently and she nodded. ". . . Do both."
"What?" she said confused.
"Do both. Do the schools play AND be in the mathletes." I explained slowly.
She looked like a bolt of lightening had struck her and she froze.
"Do you do that in England?" she asked.
"Well . . . yeah. Once I was in the play, the hockey team and I did art club as well." Her eyes grew unnaturally wide and her eyebrows rose to daredevil heights.
