So, I was reading the newest manga book of Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni - or Higurashi When They Cry - from the "Beyond Midnight" arc today in Creative Writing class and - BAM! I was inspired to write this.
Stupid? Yes.
Pointless? Yes.
A waste of time? Yes.
Am I proud of it? Yes.
So, yeah.
Hope you all like it. :D (You all know that I in no way own Higurashi, yes?)
Higurashi ga Naku Akazu no Mori e
In a forest where the cicadas cry,
Where the dead do live and the living do die,
Where all the blood flows in an endless river
With shades of gray and winds that shiver.
The visions of yesterday and the echoes of tomorrow.
The reflections in the water of spindles of sorrow.
Come with me, won't you, in this hand of mine
To the spider's web of a land of endless time.
The mirror of mind beneath shatters of truth
Will take you away, so come with me, won't you?
To the stories of murmurs of tendrils that lie
Where the dead do live and the living do die.
Whispers of midnight beyond the eyes of memories
Tell of thoughts that weep and a silence that speaks
Where the voices of shadows in blood do lie
And the forest in which the cicadas cry.
