"If the limping gets worse bring her in." Ichigo looked up from the dog sitting in the front seat to see Orihime sitting on her steps. "Have a good one, Fred." He said, stepping back to allow the truck to pull away.
"Morning." She greeted him, offering Ichigo a mug of coffee.
"Afternoon you mean." He replied, taking the coffee. "Two sugars?"
She nodded. "Afternoon!" Her head snapped up quickly. "Dante and Virgil, I forgot they were coming in today." She hopped up quickly.
Ichigo grabbed her arm, "Took care of them at ten." He showed her his battle wounds from the duo of cats. "We have a few hours until Louis comes in."
"I'm sorry, I over slept" She sat back down, "I was up late finishing some paperwork" Rubbing the knot out of her neck.
He sat down behind her and began to rub her shoulders. "Don't worry about it. It's been a slow day. Old Fred might bring in Ginger tomorrow. She went after the rabbits again and fell into one of their holes in the yard."
Orihime said nothing, enjoying the rub she was getting from Ichigo.
A few minutes of silence was all he could manage, "About last night? I'm sorry. I've been pressuring you so much these past four months, and when you kissed me, I went with it without thinking about your feelings."
"Ichigo?" She turned around to face him, "I'm the one who should be sorry. I've lead you on all these months. There were so many times where I should have told you, but I didn't. With all this construction and seeing patients, I just blocked out my feelings towards you." She reached out her hand and caressed his cheek, "There's a new chapter of my life starting, and I want you to share it with me. I want this time we have together to be special, for the both of us."
"Come here." Taking her hand to stand her up. Orihime settled down on his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck. He encircled her waste with his arms. "You are the most beautiful, sweet and wonderful thing that could have happened to me. There's nothing in the world that can bring me so much joy in my life, than you. The love I have for you blindsided me from the start. I'll be happy knowing that you're happy by my side."
"All I could think about last night was you. I saw the hurt on your face when you left. When I think of you, I feel like I have everything I could ever wish for. Having you love me, makes me want to wake up in the morning, just to be around you. Each step I take with you by my side, I know we are walking into a future of absolute happiness. When I finally realized I loved you," Tears welled up in Orihime's eyes, "That's when I started missing you."
Ichigo carefully brushed away the tears from her eyes, "No more tears." He softly kissed her lips, "Don't live in the past. Live for today and all the tomorrow's to come."
