Cook flicked a still-burning cigarette butt at her feet as she walked up the group.

"Ready to party Blondie?"

"Whatever"

As she looked around at everyone standing in front of the off licence, she paused ever so slightly before letting her gaze settle on Emily. She couldn't help it. She was wearing a short skirt, the kind mothers disapproved of… but she couldn't help but approve of it. Her breath caught in her chest as she gazed into a pair of alarmingly brilliant brown eyes.

It's perfectly normal to think about finding the nearest bed, table or floor to throw your friend down on and do the most amazingly dirty things to her. Isn't it?

Shit. I'm staring.

Steadying herself and putting on a mask of indifference, she realized everyone else had started walking already. This left Emily staring at her curiously.

"You ok?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine." She'd always been good at lying, and this time is no exception, except she felt uncomfortable doing it to her. She turned slightly and started to follow the others. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits, Cook was shouting and gesturing provocatively at a couple of terrorized looking women. Emily had fallen in beside her and they ambled slowly down the road. Naomi noticed Emily looking at her every now and then. When she turned to return the look, the brunette would look away, pretending not to have even tried. Naomi found it vaguely amusing and completely unsettling. Eventually she gave in.

"What?"

Emily started, opened her mouth, then closed it. Opened it again, and then closed it.

"Pandora's party…."

"What about it Ems?"

She clears her throat nervously, looks everywhere except at Naomi. Then, as if she had made a internal decision, swiftly brought her dark eyes up so she was staring straight into Naomis'. It feels like time has stopped somehow, and that she is staring straight through her.

Like she can see everything I hide...

Scares me shitless.

She's stuttering now, and Naomi can't help but look at her lips.

I have no right to feel this way about her. I'm actually the opposite of right, I'm so wrong. All of this is so wrong.

"Well you know… me and you...we…"

Naomi cut in. "You know that was the drugs, I told you. You need to get over it, it was just a bit of fun nothing more."

Emily looks away then, but not before Naomi has time to see the hurt in her expression.

All of this is so wrong.

But the thing is, when I was with her

.... I felt right.
