The City is in ruins. Buildings have crumbled, their foundations cracked, to a point where they can no longer withstand the weight. Tree's have been burnt and uprooted, their desires to grow and provide oxygen for thousands of growing humans crushed. Bridges broken, destroying any hope for those who can't cross to the other side any other way.
But the City isn't the only thing that has been damned. People have too. Their lives wrecked by a single person; a single person striving for power; a single person's desire seeming so strong, nobody could match its terms; a single person never known to commit an act of evil in his childhood, until now.
He was bought up in a seemingly loving family, in a pleasant atmosphere, the occasional threat coming into way but no permanent harm was done. None that showed outwardly it seemed. Until the one day came, the one day that finally seemed too much, and the barriers broke loose. And it finally spiralled the evil that had been dormant, but had now been placed on so many defenceless people.
That was the day that finally caused Wyatt Halliwell to become a ruthless, cold blooded killer.
And nobody could stand up to him. Nobody could stop him, or see him for anything more than the Source of all Evil, a murderer, a destroyer or something similar to those terms. Nobody that anyone knew of that was; except one person... the brother of Lord Wyatt.
He'd seen it all developing through those green eyes. Eyes supposed to be full of innocence, and honesty. But no longer did, and hadn't for many past years. He had seen more grief and more pain than any normal child should have at the age he had. And he had seen it caused by something that was believed to be a superstition long ago.
Most of his heartache had been caused by magic.
Being born into a world of magic, had caused him to see so many things, his life couldn't be considered innocent for a second. More blood shed, and tear-tracks down sunken cheeks had occurred throughout his childhood, and more had been exposed to him than any boy should see. But none of it could be taken back now.
He'd seen the once perfect, blond haired, blue eyed boy grow into a man, but along with the growth that any human being takes, he'd seen his brother change. He'd seen him develop, and his personality and reactions alter as days went by. He'd seen Wyatt develop into the man he was today, gradually becoming more ruthless, and more powerful.
But now he was going to change it, he was going to stop his brother if it was the last thing he did, and even if he had to lie down his own life for it. He wasn't prepared to kill his own brother, No deep down there was a place in his heart for Wyatt, and the murder of the twice-blessed would make him as bad as said witch. No he would stop him from turning, save not only his brother, but the city and the people living within it. Surely they deserved a better chance at life?
Too many lives had been wasted. And too many dreams had been crushed. So it was time for change.
And here it was... the line between good and evil had been drawn.
