His Lock, Her Key
A/N: Well, this is just a short, no conversation story which has no plotline or summary whatsoever. I just felt like writing it. :D
For those who have watched Shugo Chara!, then you would find this very familiar. Though, the point isn't exactly the same. So, I do not own the idea of the lock and key, but what I do own is this story.
Disclaimer: Uh… wasn't it mentioned above? Oh right! The other one. I do not own Pokemon.
The lock and the key is an amazing combination that could not live alone forever. A lock must have a key to be opened and a key must have a lock to open. The story I am about to tell you revolves around locks and keys.
You see, people often lock themselves up. That's what hot-shot, arrogant Drew Hayden is doing right now as he walked across the sandy beach. You see, he was just misunderstood to be an arrogant bad-guy; deep inside that smirk of his lays a heart that locked itself from others. Sure he had friends -- closer to him, in fact -- but, on the day he lost her, everything seemed to have changed.
She was his first love; his first everything. At that time, it was his first love and person lost. He couldn't forget her, and he hoped she couldn't forget him.
He stared at the supposedly romantic sunset. To him, it was a mere abstract white-and-black painting, now with her gone. He sighed as he let the tiny waves splash beneath his shoes. The wind combed him gently as he closed his eyes; remembering what used to be.
But, as time passed by, he met the cheerful, hot-tempered May. He found her amusing when she blows up every time he would tease her. The weird thing is, he found this as a new beginning; it's like Spring has finally reached his doorstep instead of the cold, cold Winter.
They became good friends later on, but still bicker on the slightest bit. However, Drew still has that rusty lock in his heart.
One day, as Drew walked May home as friends -- like he would normally do -- he told her something he dreaded not to talk about: Her death. May felt pity on him and hugged him, much to his surprise. But, what surprised him most was the tiny red tint dashed on his face.
Each day passed by and Drew felt as if May was trying to open his lock in his heart with her key. They'd spend days together; laugh together; and bicker each other. No sooner, Drew was falling in love again; and this time with May.
You see, May was the key to Drew's lock all along. Her key, his lock. Her key to open his lock and his lock to be opened by her key.
A/N: Yes, there was another girl in Drew's life. But, that girl did not mostly do anything except for being his short time lover (Drew and that girl have only been dating for 3 months and she died.)
Anyway, please review!
