"There's enough power running through this ship to punch a hole in the universe!" the Doctor remarked as he examined the console. "Can you smell that?"

"Yeah, someone's cooking," replied Rose.

Mickey's face lit up. "Sunday roast, definitely!"

The Doctor's hand brushed against a button, and an electric door slid open with a low hiss. "Now there's something you don't see in your average spaceship,"

The Timelord and his two companions stepped through the newly-opened door into a room where there was a large, transparent cylinder on top of a round metal platform. The Doctor swung himself up several metal steps and strode toward it.

"American. Twenty-third century, I'd say," he looked closer at it, his brow furrowed. "This isn't even a reproduction – this actually is a twenty-third century transportation tube. I think it's double sided! There's a whole other stretch of land through there,"

"But it can't be!" exclaimed Rose. "That's the outer hull of a ship. Look!"

"Hello, what's this?" the Doctor said as the cylinder opened up. He stepped inside, and it suddenly closed. "What?" he hammered on the glass of the tube. "Rose! Can you open it up?"

Rose tried. "Doctor, I can't!" she cried.

Suddenly, the platform started to rise.

"Rose!" the Doctor shouted.

"Doctor!"

Suddenly, the Doctor was in a large green field. Around him, in a ring, there were twenty-three other platforms like the one he stood on. There were twelve girls and eleven boys, all seeming to be teenagers. In the centre, there was a metal cone, full of weapons.

An electronic voice boomed across the field. "Ten,"

The Doctor looked around him.

"Nine,"

Where was he?

"Eight,"

Where was Rose?

"Seven,"

Where was Mickey?

"Six,"

Where was the TARDIS?

"Five,"

What should he do?

"Four, Three, Two,"

"What?" he exclaimed.

"One,"

Somewhere, a cannon fired.
