With You
It is walking these woods, fingers tangled, palms, glad in soft fabric, gently resting against each other that warmth gets a new meaning.
"Snow?"
"Yes, Red."
"I want to leave."
Snow drops Red's hands instantly. Eyes wide, and tears starting to brim up. Snow always knows what to say, well, at least what she wants to say, but the words come hard this time, "You…you want to leave me?"
She is wrapped in Red's arms a split-second later. "No, gosh, no Snow, no, I wouldn't, I love you. But…I want to leave town. I need…I am not sure what I need, except… space…, to breath, to see the world in ways new, still foreign to myself right now, and so unclear. But I need more than the same walls, and streets and faces."
Hands covered in velvet gloves gently cupping both of Snow's cheeks, Red presses a quick but loving kiss to Snow's lips.
"All my life, everything has been the same; but with you, everything is clear. With you I want more, I dare to dream and want more," there are still tears of fear running down Snow's face. "Don't cry, please don't cry, Love. I…I would not exchange your Love for any treasure in the world. I want us to do this together. Will you come with me?"
Snow's eyes are still wide, but now there is a shine to them, a glow breaking through the tears, "Yes, Red. Yes!"
It is Snow who kisses Red deep.
It is never Snow who kisses deep first.
But then again, today is the day everything changes.
