Chapter 1:
A Talk between Friends
(Sonic Pov. September 1)
"Ahhhh…" I said relaxing after a long day of training with Shadow.
Shadow and I are resting on the Beach, watching the Sunset. Shadow started to say something but I wasn't paying attention.
"Huh?" I asked a silent notation to repeat what he was saying.
"I said I'm going back to the house, Sky and Shawn are about to start cleaning the attic." Shadow answered coolly.
"Oh…Okay." I said "I'll be here a few more hours…" I trailed off looking at the waves.
Shadow stood up and started to walk away "Later."
"Alright." I said. I hear him skate off.
About a hour later I see Corey walk by in swimming trunks his brown skin shining from the saltwater. It was a warm year and the water was still kinda warm… Not that I would get in it…
"Hey Lorenzo!" I called by his nickname loudly so he can hear me.
He started looking around for who called him and finally saw me. Then he ran towards me.
"Sonic! What's up?" He asked me
"Nothing much." I replied "I'm just relaxing today."
"That's cool." He said. There is silence for a while. During the silence Corey sat down beside me.
"Hey." I asked my human friend.
"Hmmm?" He hummed quietly.
"Where is Travis?" I ask looking at him as he lay on his back and was looking at the sun go below the horizon.
"He's with his girlfriend." Corey said still looking at were the sun was.
"What was he doing?" I ask "Wasn't he supposed to be with us…?" Corey's face twisted in disgust
"Last time I checked they were doing Activities together" He said. "I could hear them…"
I laughed "Was it fun?"
"Well actually-"
"I don't want to hear it!" I yelled covering my ears "Please don't poison my virgin mind!" I said jokingly
He laughed "Alright! Alright!" he said waving his hands in front of his face. "I won't! I won't!"
We had a good laugh about that. We talked about some more stuff until I said.
"Hey y'know Shadow was here about a hour an a half a go." I said looking around. Everyone was leaving.
"Really?" He said I couldn't see his expression "What were you doing?"
"Training." I said simply.
"In front of all these people?"
"I wanted to put on a show." I said shrugging my shoulders.
"Y'know that's just like you" Corey said. "Only you would do something like that."
"Heh-Heh." I said smiling with my eyes close. "I guess I'm one of a kind huh?"
"Yeah you ar-"
Bring-Bring Bring-Bring Bri-
He had his cell phone in his pocket. I wonder how it didn't short-circuit.
"Hello?" he asked the person on the phone. "Oh hey Shadow." I looked at him.
"Mmmhmm" He hummed "Okay I'll tell him." I sit up "Alright bye."
"What's up?" I ask
"Shadow wants to see you." Corey said
"Hmm…I wonder why?" I said as I stood up.
"He wanted to show you something."
"Hmmm… Okay I'm about to go." I looked around. No one was on the beach and it was dark. "Where are you going?" I asked him.
"Nowhere." Corey said still laying on the ground. "I'm going to stay out here for a little while longer."
"Okay." I said "Later."
"Alright." He said before I ran off to Shadow's house
