XION MEETS RIKU
(A Kingdom Hearts Fan fiction)

"I don't get why I've been having these dreams… and she's always in them! The sad part is that I don't even know who she is! The face… it kind of reminds me of Kairi! But the hair is short and dark and Kairi's is shoulder length and blonde. That and the fact that Kairi is an only child, so it's not a twin, just makes it weirder!" Riku thought as he spaced out… only hearing the last bit of what his best friends were saying. They were laughing and saying
"It was hilarious, huh Riku? …HELLO! RIKU THIS IS THE PEOPLE ON EARTH! WE ASK THAT YOU COME BACK!" Sora yelled at him and Kairi was practically rolling on the beach laughing at him.
She managed to recover and finally, sitting back on the tree they frequented,
"What were you staring at? There's no one out at sea to day so you can't use the fisherman as an excuse this time Riku! What's on your mind?" She poked me in the head for emphasis of that last word.
I murmured in response,
"Nothing' Kairi, I swear!" Sora punched me in the arm and then pushed me playfully to the ground,
"What's up? You NEVER keep secrets from me and Kairi!" he said with his foot on my chest keeping me on the ground.
"I was just thinking about the nightmare I had last night, that's all…."
Later on when I was safely at home, I decided to brave sleep.
IN MY DREAM;
I'm in some huge white room with thirteen chairs lining the walls going up in height and the tallest one is more like a throne. Then, she appears.
Xion: Who are you exactly?
Shadow: no one of your concern… at least not yet.
That picture wavered and then disappeared. Now I was on a clock tower, she was there with a blond-ish spiky haired boy and a redhead with long spiked hair… I wonder who they are?
Xion: The view from up here is beautiful huh Roxas?
"Roxas": yeah, I guess it is Xion… Axel you're being awful quiet… What's up?
"Axel": Nothing I'm just enjoying the scenery too, that's all… *sigh* we barely exist, you know that right? We're a part of the universe that really never was but somehow we're here. And until we finish Kingdom Hearts… we'll always only half exist… Do you guys WANT hearts? Do you really want to exist? I mean… of course you do but have you ever thought about whether or not the people we look like feel our presence? Whether they dream about us like we dream about them?
"Roxas": ……………………. *takes a bite out of his Popsicle* I dunno… I never really thought about all that… I mean I am kinda trying to focus on collecting the hearts for Kingdom Hearts, ya know? I mean that's kinda my main purpose here in the organization…
Xion: No… I haven't thought about that either… m focusing on helping Roxas find those hearts we need… I mean without him… (Or some other keyblade wielder… if one magically came along…) we would never get Kingdom Hearts done!
Axel: I guess you're right… I just wish we really existed… that we could have emotions like the humans do! Like the people that have hearts…*sigh* I guess we better RTC now… come on guys
I sat up in my bed with a jolt and said to myself "Wait a second… They don't have HEARTS? Then how do they exist?" This was getting weirder and weirder, "And what did they mean… 'their other half' are they the other halves of people who HAVE hearts?"
