Hey everyone! This is the sequel to Allen's Mistake. I know I'm really late and I'm really sorry. I had a major block for every D Gray Man stories... so yeah...

Anyway! You all must know that I will update this story really slowly since the next chapter is not done yet and I really don't know what to write. I'll do my best to update as soon as possible but I do not know when I'll update.

Another thing, this chapter has not gone through my beta so there will be some errors in the wordings here and there so I am sorry in advance...

Prologue

"What!?" was suddenly heard in Komui's office. In front of the solemn scientist stood his sister and her boyfriend along with Link, Lavi, Bookman, Miranda, Krory, Marie, Choajji and the General Tiedoll. They had been called to his office after one of their best exorcists' funeral. Allen's body had been brought back from the failed mission the day before and had been cremated only moments ago.

Earlier that day, before the funeral, Komui, along with the medical team, had made an autopsy of the boy's body. What they had found had shocked them. It seemed that even if the poor boy had not been killed by that akuma, Allen was going to die anyway. They had found that his innocence and his noah gene had been fighting each other, weakening his body to the point of killing him slowly.

Komui had called all those who had been close to the boy to inform them since they needed to know. Those of the science department had already been informed and they had all been crushed by the news. Why had they not done anything when they had seen him sick…?

"N-Nii-san," Lenalee called weakly, tears threatening to fall from her eyes as guilt and self-hatred tightened her chest. "Are you… Are you sure?"

"Yes," Komui sighed sadly. "This is the proof," he added before a shining yellow ball came flying towards him. Timcampy landed on the unusually tidy desk and opened its mouth. A light came from the gap, and a projection appeared for all to see. What they saw shocked them to the core, and sadness and grief gripped their chests.

They saw Allen leaning heavily on the wet wall of a shower, coughing, his right hand gripping his bare chest. He seemed to be wearing only a pair of black trousers though he was under the running water of the shower.

When the coughing stopped, Allen slipped down and sat on the wet floor, back against the wall. After catching his breath, he looked up at Timcampy, unfocussed eyes staring up at the golem and blood dripping from his slightly parted lips. Then he smiled bitterly.

"Hehe," he chuckled. "Sorry, Tim. I'm going to die very soon. We're going to leave you along. We're sorry." He tilted his head to the side as Timcampy flew around his head. "Oh? You want to know why?" He laughed. "Well, you see, Tim, being a parasitic type, my life span is shorter. And having Neah in me, it shortened even more. And since my innocence and noah gene are battling each other, my body is getting destroyed. "

He suddenly smiled sadly and sighed. "But you know what? This is the best thing happening to me in a while. I have nothing left to live for. I guess, it's a coward's way to get away from all the pain, but I can't take it anymore… I am so pathetic… Kanda would laugh at me if he saw me like this." His face darkened and his smile faded.

"Tim?" he asked. "Will you do me favor when I'm gone?" At the golem's frantic nod, he added, "make sure they are alright, okay? Lenalee," he sighed, smiling sadly, "Beautiful, little Lenalee… Make sure she remains smiling, alright. I don't want her to be sad. After all," he grinned, "She is my sister and I have to look out for her!" Leaning his head against the wet wall, he added, "Make sure everyone in the Order is alright, okay?" Then he smiled, a typical Allen smile as the image flickered away.

As the image of a smiling Allen faded away, all those who had watched and listened remained silent, contemplating what they had seen. Then, Lenalee's knees buckled under her and she broke the others from whatever trance they were in. Miranda, Krory, Choaji and the General Tiedoll cried in sorrow as silent tears ran down Marie's cheek. Link and Lavi were glaring at a nearby wall, fists and jaw clenched. Bookman though remained impassive. The Japanese swordsman did not say a word. With a dark look on his face, he stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

In a white realm, two pairs of eyes opened; one grey, the other golden.
