A/N: Dedicated to my ghetto bish, MARI!

Alex sat on the floor of her bedroom, leaning against the pink fur walls. Pictures and photo albums were spread in front of her. They were of her and Nate, from the time they were 6 to last week. Alex brought her arm up to her face. It was red and puffy, a couple of tears running down from eyes. She used the back of her sleeve to wipe her face, then she picked up her cell phone and checked the time.

It was 1:45 AM. Her family and Harper had gone to Coney Island again yesterday. Alex had encouraged them too, insisting that she would be fine at home for the weekend. On her phone, she clicked contacts and scrolled to Nate's name and hesitantly hit SEND. At the sound of his voice, she quickly hung up, her sobs becoming deeper.

So now she sat with her legs crossed, leaning against her wall and wondering if Nate was thinking of her too.

Nate quickly picked up his phone after seeing Alex's name on the caller ID. "Hello?" he said. "Alex?" Nate's call was cut short by a click and a following dial tone on the other end of the line. He sighed, getting another Red Bull from the fridge. It had been his New Year's resolution to stop drinking Red Bull. He had been doing excellent at it, but after the fight with Alex, he went to the gas station, picked up 5 packs of it and went on his way. He had regretted it, but Alex was the one that made sure he didn't break his resolution, and without her, he was left to fend for himself.

He chuckled as he pulled the tab of the can back, thinking of the last time they had a big argument.

FLASHBACK

Nate flopped on the couch beside his brother Shane. "Dude, you have got to get over this. It's been...3 days. Just accept it; you and Alex are over," Shane stated to his now dull brother. But that was the problem: Nate wasn't ready to accept the fact that his and Alex's 8 month relationship was now, possibly over. They had been each other's first everything, except sex, which Nate saw somewhere down the road.

Nate found his thought quickly interrupted by the front door opening and a brunette marching towards him. She may have been small, but she was powerful. Alex grabbed the collar of Nate's shirt and forcefully smashed her lips onto his. After a while, they pulled back, breathing heavily. "Say you love me, and this whole argument thing is behind us," Alex stated, staring into Nate's eyes. "You love me," Nate smirked. Alex smiled and kissed him again, glad to be back in Nate's arms.

END OF FLASHBACK

Nate looked at the door, hoping Alex would come sweeping in the way she did before. He said a prayer, but to no avail. "Bottoms up," he whispered before chugging his 6th Red Bull.

Nate began to open the 2nd pack of Red Bull, when his phone rang again. He once again quickly picked up the phone. "Alex?" he said meekly. "I've decided I'm tired of crying. We need to get back together," Alex said. Her voice sounded little and weak. Nothing the mischievous Alex that Nate was used to. "Sounds good to me," Nate replied, his smile from ear to ear. Little did he know, on the other end of the line, Alex was too.
