Francine was pacing beside Billy Melrose' s desk not concerned that several agents in the bullpen were a very observant audience through the glass wall. "..an operation with this kind of importance and am I informed. No, I am not informed … but Amanda King is," complained the beautiful agent.
The section chief said, "give it a rest Francine. We didn't tell her either."
"What?"
"She is a good agent, she has great instincts and she figures it out because she believes in Lee. When Russell Sinclair tried to kill Scarecrow, Amanda didn't know until after the funeral when her family left town. When he went under cover as a weapons dealer and Savior was compromised she tried to find other jobs for him. Edson Ballan told her that Lee was under cover and she believed him because she believed in Lee. When he was playing the 'burned out' agent she turned in his 'finished' report for him and spoke up for him. She tried to protect him, help him."
"But, Billy…"
"We did not tell her," Mr. Melrose insisted. "Like a lot of other things we never told her. She seems to have a special radar where Stetson is concerned. This afternoon Mrs. King was on her own time with her Junior Trailblazers. Scarecrow was in trouble so she sent the boys one way and then she ran through the group around Lee, giving him the distraction he needed. She took care of the kids and helped Scarecrow also. There was noway to know the 'Ravens' would go to that park. Face it , Francine. Scarecrow need Mrs. King and we do not need to tell her."
